Understand reward statuses
Approval status and payment progress answer different questions.

Read both status columns
Open Rewards. Each row is a reward, not a payout batch. The approval status describes whether the program accepts the reward. The Payout column describes whether that reward has been grouped or paid.
| Approval status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Accepted | Approved; still subject to payout eligibility. |
| On Hold | Waiting for review or a hold condition. |
| Declined | Rejected by the program. |
| Refunded | Linked purchase was refunded. |
Follow payment progress
Unpaid means the reward has not been paid. Payout Created means it is included in a payout that has not completed. Paid means payment has been recorded or sent. A reward can be Accepted while still Unpaid because of a hold period, minimum amount or missing payout details.
Ask about one record
Open the relevant reward and note its date, reference, approval status and payout status. Share only the minimum masked details with the program manager. Do not assume a hold is a payment failure, and do not create another referral to replace a disputed record.
